Events are scheduled activities within a carpool (e.g., soccer practice, school pickup).
Accessing Events
- Tap Carpools in the bottom navigation
- Select a carpool
- Go to the Events tab
- View existing events or tap + to add a new one
Creating an Event
Required Fields
- Event Name - Name of the activity (e.g., "Soccer Practice")
- Location - Where the event takes place (select existing or add new)
- Direction - At least one must be enabled:
- Carpool TO event : Riders need a ride TO the event (set Start Time)
- Carpool FROM event : Riders need a ride FROM the event (set End Time)
Optional Fields
- Emoji - Tap the icon to choose an emoji for the event
- Recurrence - How often the event repeats (see below)
- Start Date - When the event schedule begins
- End Date - When the event schedule ends (leave blank for ongoing)
- Reminder - Get notified before the event
- Notes - Additional instructions for drivers/riders
Setting Recurrence
Tap Recurrence to configure how often the event repeats.
Once
- Single occurrence on a specific date
Daily
- Repeats every X days (1-30)
Weekly
- Repeats every X weeks (1-10)
- Select which days of the week
Monthly
- Repeats every X months (1-12)
- Choose pattern:
- Day of Month : Select specific dates (1st, 15th, etc.)
- Week and Day : Select week (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, Last) and day (Mon, Tue, etc.)
Editing an Event
- Open the carpool's Events tab
- Tap the menu icon on the event card
- Select Edit
- Make changes and tap Save
Tips
- End Time must be after Start Time
- End Date must be on or after Start Date
- At least one direction (To or From) is required
- Events can be copied to create similar events
